I have just registered and posted two songs at 15megsoffame.com, a platform that allows independent artists and laptop guerilla minstrels (I fall into the latter category) to upload their music to be reviewed by their peers and the public. This site was created by skinnyCorp, the same team that launched Threadless which offers the same platform for T-shirt design.

These sites are what the internet is all about. Anyone with a little talent can be a T-shirt designer or write a song and share it with the world. It is only by your efforts and the feedback of your peers that your output is deemed relevant. The corporate bigwig suddenly has no say in the matter whatsoever. Unless he/she is truly a fan.
